Territorial Acknowledgment

We acknowledge that we are gathering on the traditional territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishinaabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee, and the Wendat peoples. This city is bound by Dish With One Spoon treaty lands, an agreement to share and protect the land and waters. To engage with the work of Indigenous scholars, activists, and land defenders, here are resources for learning and action: Whose Land,  Native Land Digital.

What is it

HTML Day is an annual celebration of HTML. It's a day to gather IRL in places around the world to write and learn HTML.

What to expect

No prior coding skills are needed. If you can write, you can code. Prompts and an optional HTML poetry workshop are available. We'd meet, find shade and sit under trees. On burning days, we'd join the splash pad in the park.

What to bring

picnic blanket, flip-flops, snacks, water bottle, sunscreen, something to write HTML on (laptop, pen & paper), portable battery pack, friends, and your HTML energy.

Hosts

The Technopoetics Lab aka XY as part of HTML Energy
